Your 44TH Anniversary

MINNESOTA PUBLIC RADIO

Dear Member,

Thank you. It's because of your support that MPR celebrates its 44th anniversary (January 1967). What began as a single signal in central Minnesota has become a favorite of nearly 111,000 members. This is an astonishing partnership.

Because of your support, you've created one of the nation's premier public media organizations producing programming for radio, Internet and face-to-face audiences, including its main services- MPR News, Classical MPR and 89.3 The Current.

Sustainers are a big part of the continuing health of MPR. Currently, nearly 43,000 Sustainers help to save money (about $200,000 per year) on the costs of fundraising (what would have been spent reminding you to renew and using postage, paper and envelopes to do that). And you've drastically decreased the amount of time devoted to on-air member drives.

Your devotion to making your public radio service the best that it can be is envied by others around the world.

As we celebrate our anniversary, all thanks to you, it's a great time to remind you that we welcome your feedback. After all, members provide great ideas (such as creating a Sustaining Member Program) that are extremely impactful on our ability to fulfill MPR's mission.

You can communicate with us any time through e-mail. Just send your thoughts and feedback to mail@mpr.org. And if you prefer, give us a phone call at 1-800-228-7123. We staff the phones Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

And yes, we love to get good-otd feedback from you in the mail. Our address is Minnesota Public Radio, 480 Cedar Street, Saint Paul, MN 55101.

Thank you again for your amazing and diverse show of support. Your contribution, when combined with other vital support from local businesses and foundations, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, has a huge positive impact on individual lives and the communities we live in.

You are unique and special because you voluntarily support Minnesota Public Radio. Thank you.
