Qld: Woman throws knife at de facto
A 57-year-old man has been rushed to hospital with a chest wound, after his de factowife threw a knife at him in their north Queensland home.
A Townsville police spokesman says police were called to the domestic dispute in HighStreet, Charters Towers at 12.45pm (AEST).
The man was taken by helicopter to the Townsville Hospital where he was reported tobe in a serious but stable condition.
The spokesman says the man is expected to undergo surgery later today.
His 40-year-old de facto wife has been taken to the Charters Towers watchhouse.
