A car salesman who lost out on a bid for an Albany County contract doesn't think much of the federal grand jury investigation into the transaction.
"It's stupid, the whole thing is stupid," said John Robertson, a salesman with Orange Motor Co. who testifed for about 20 minutes before the grand jury on Thursday.
The panel is hearing testimony regarding a car purchased in December 1991 for the county Probation Department from Coeymans dealership Bud Kearney Inc.
Orange and Kearney bid on the contract originally, but both were rejected because Kearney offered a new car and Orange offered what county …
