SA: No bail for "hate speech" historian

An Australian historian who disputes the holocaust could be held in a German jail for up to
four months pending a trial on hate-speech charges.

His supporters say FREDRICK TOBEN, the director of the right-wing Adelaide Institute, will
remain in jail for up to four months after being denied bail by authorities in Mannheim.

DR TOBEN was arrested in Mannheim last week after challenging the extent of the holocaust
while in Germany, and through his website and newsletters.

DR TOBEN'S Australian lawyer JOHN BENNETT says a German lawyer's expected to visit the
Adelaide man in jail today.

MR BENNETT has called on Amnesty International to take up the case of DR TOBEN and other
holocaust revisionists who've been imprisoned for their beliefs.
