SA:Foley attacker avoids jail

A man who king-hit former South Australian police minister KEVIN FOLEY outside an Adelaide
nightclub has been given a suspended sentence and a one-year good behaviour bond.

30-year-old ANTE TONY GRGICH, who had pleaded guilty to the assault, has also been
ordered to pay 740 dollars in compensation to Mr FOLEY in the Adelaide Magistrates court
today.

In his sentencing, Chief Magistrate ANDREW CANNON told the court GRGICH believed he
was preventing Mr FOLEY from harassing women when he struck him outside Adelaide's Marble
Bar in November last year.
